Moldavian Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) has announced that due to the current crisis situation it is forced to cut back its production output.

Accordingly, in November MMZ plans to produce 59,330 mt of crude steel and 39,000 mt of rolled steel products, down by about 22.3 percent and 24.4 percent respectively.

Moreover, given the current period of economic downturn, in October MMZ's sales of steel products decreased by around 40 percent, totaling 40,000 mt.

In November up to the 18th of the month, the mill produced 35,042 mt of crude steel, 22,991 mt of rolled steel products, and delivered 24,524 mt of steel products.
