Mexico’s industrial production up 1 percent in October

Mexico’s industrial output improved 1 percent in October, year-on-year, according to the latest data released by the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi.

Inegi’s data indicate output was relatively stable in the month-on-month analysis, with a slightly 0.1 percent decline.

In the year-on-year comparison, output in the civil construction and manufacturing industries rose 2.4 and 2.3 percent, respectively, while the mining sector saw a 4.2 percent decline, year-on-year, in its industrial production in October.

Industrial output in the mining segment declined 0.6 percent in October, month-on-month. There was zero percent growth in the production of the civil construction segment in October, in the month-on-month analysis. Likewise, the manufacturing industry saw a minimal increase of 0.1 percent, month-on-month, in its industrial production in October this year.
