Mexico's industrial production increases 2.5 percent in September

Mexican industrial production in September rose 2.5 percent, year-on-year, and 1 percent, month-on-month, the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi) said on Friday.

Industrial output in the local mining sector grew 2.9 percent, year-on-year. Likewise, industrial production in the manufacturing industry segment in September improved 3.9 percent, year-on-year. On the other hand, industrial production in the local civil construction sector was stable in September, with zero growth on a year-on-year basis.

On a month-on-month analysis, industrial output in the mining sector dropped 0.6 percent in September, while industrial production in the civil construction and manufacturing industry sectors rose 1.1 percent each in September compared to August.
