Mexico’s economic activity improves 2 percent in September

Mexico’s economic activity improved 2 percent in September, year-on-year, and 0.5 percent, month-on-month, according to data released on Wednesday by the country’s statistics agency, Inegi.
Government data showed both primary and tertiary activities in September rose 3.1 and 3.4 percent, year-on-year, while secondary activities declined 1.3 percent in the same period.
 
Inegi said primary activities in September diminished 3.7 percent, month-on-month, while secondary and tertiary activities slightly increased 0.1 and 0.7 percent, year-on-year, respectively.
