Mexico requests consultation for imports of SSSS in coils
Mexican government authorities have recently requested consultations to be held with the government of US pursuant to World Trade Organization (WTO) Understanding on Rules and Procedures Governing the Settlement of Disputes (DSU), the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the Agreement on Implementation of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade in relation to the US Department of Commerce (DOC) determination on

Mexico.
Mexican authorities assert that DOC used a methodology to determine the overall dumping margin for the subject merchandise in which it considered negative antidumping margins to be zero. As a result, DOC determination of the dumping margin would appear to be incorrect.
In
Mexico's view, the measures DOC took against imports of

Mexico violate the obligations of US under the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the WTO and the agreements cited above.
Mexico looks forward to receiving the US Government's response in order to set a mutually convenient date for the consultations.
