Mexican automakers see 2.8% rise in export volume in Jan-Nov

In November this year, Mexico's car and light commercial vehicle production decreased by 3.51 percent year on year to 255,695 units. In given period, country's cars and light commercial vehicles exports increased by  2.3  percent year on year to 224,874 units.

Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of the year, Mexico's car and light commercial vehicle production volume increased by 2.4 percent year on year to 2,769,244 units. In given period, country's car and light vehicle exports increased by 2.8 percent to 2,261,876 units.

As for exports, in the January-November period this year, Mexico's exports of cars and light commercial vehicles to Asia were up 49.2 percent, while exports to Canada and the US increased by 19.7 percent and 9.1 percent respectively, all year on year. Meanwhile, in the same period, year-on-year decreases were observed in exports to destinations such as Europe, Latin America and Africa, down 30 percent, 15.8 percent and 15.3 percent respectively.

As for domestic sales, in November Mexico's cars and light commercial vehicle sales rose by 9.36 percent year on year to 100,423 units. In the first 11 months, 943,999 cars and light commercial vehicle were sold in the domestic market, up 7.65 percent year on year.
