Mexican auto production and exports rise in November

Mexican auto production in November rose 4.5 percent, year-on-year, to 332,449 units, the country’s automotive association, AMIA, said this week.

Auto exports in November improved 11.9 percent, year-on-year, to 274,520 units.

On the other hand, domestic auto sales in November declined 8.5 percent, year-on-year, to 141,434 units.

As for the accumulated period of January to November, auto production reached 3.5 million units, 9.4 percent up, year-on-year. Auto exports rose 11.7 percent in November, year-on-year, to 2.8 million units.

Domestic sales of cars in November dropped 2.8 percent, year-on-year, to 1.3 million units.
