The iron ore subsidiaries of the Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) have issued their production results for the first ten months of 2009.
Accordingly, in the January-October period Metinvest's iron ore subsidiary Central GOK (CGOK) increased its pellets output by 0.6 percent to 1.82 million mt, but decreased its concentrate production by 26 percent to 3.96 million mt, both compared to the same period last year.
During the first ten months of 2009, Severniy GOK (SevGOK) produced 11.21 million mt of concentrate - down 3.8 percent year on year, and 7.556 million mt of pellets - down 17 percent.
Meanwhile, during the period in question Metinvest's Inguletskiy GOK (InGOK) registered a 23.8 percent decrease year on year in its concentrate output, to 9.37 million mt.
