Ukraine's largest mining and steel producing group Metinvest has announced that it has invested UAH 61 million ($4.05 million) in two new mining dump trucks with loading capacity of 220 mt, produced by Belorussian company Belaz, to be used at Ingulets Iron Ore Enrichment Works. With these new dump trucks, the company will see 30 percent lower transportation costs per one metric ton of iron ore. The company is planning to purchase 11 more new dump trucks from Belaz by 2019.
Additionally, Ingulets Iron Ore Enrichment Works expects to produce 13.7 million mt of iron ore concentrate this year and 13.67 million mt of iron ore concentrate in 2015.
The main consumers of Ingulets' iron ore concentrate products are Zaporozhstal, MMK Ilyich and Azovstal, as well as Dneprovskiy Metallurgical Plant (DMKD), a part of ISD Group.
