The Malaysian government has announced that it has extended the time period of the antidumping duty investigation on alloyed and non-alloyed cold rolled coil (CRC) imports from China, South Korea and Vietnam by an additional thirty days from December 26 until January 24 for making the preliminary determinations.

The investigation was initiated on August 27, following a petition from a domestic producer claiming material injury because the imports in question were sold at a price much lower than the price in the domestic market, with this alleged to be causing material injury to the domestic industry in Malaysia

The products subject to antidumping duty investigation currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7209.15.00, 7209.16.00, 7209.17.00, 7209.18.29, 7209.18.90 and 7225.50.00.
