Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Magang has lately received its first order from German national railway company Deutsche Bahn AG for an initial batch of 1,232 BA318/BA319 standard railway wheels. This is Magang's first order from overseas in 2010 and also marks the company's entry into the German market.

From the second half of 2009, in addition to its continuous efforts to maintaining its usual markets such as North America, South Korea, Turkey, India and Southeast Asia, Magang has also been actively focusing on the European market. After receiving BA004, BA318 and BA319 certification for the German railway system, after the Spring Festival holiday Magang reached an agreement in principle with Deutsche Bahn AG on an order for 15,000 freightcar wheels for 2010, which accounts for 20 percent of the annual purchase volume of the Germany company.
