Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Steel has lately received a TSI (technical specifications for interoperability) certificate from Axiom Rail. Axiom Rail is a trade brand and name owned by UK-based DB Schlenker Rail (formerly English, Welsh and Scottish Railway), which is a subsidiary of German national rail company Deutsche Bahn AG.

Axiom Rail general manager Paul Mckeown expressed satisfaction with the good cooperation between Axiom Rail and Maanshan Steel, and said that the TSI certificate gave Maanshan Steel a good start in terms of selling its products in Europe. Meanwhile, he also hoped to sign long-term cooperation framework agreement to further deepen bilateral cooperation.
