London Mining increases indicated iron ore reserves at Isua, Greenland

On March 9, UK-based global miner London Mining announced that further indicated resources of 114 million mt grading 37 percent and additional inferred resources of 837 million mt grading 36 percent have been confirmed for its Isua iron ore project in Greenland.

The latest study by Australia-headquartered Snowden Mining Industry Consultants also revealed that the parts of the Isua ore body in question could potentially be mined within an expanded pit shell, further to the indicated mineral resources of 574 million mt at 37 percent Fe reported in December 2009.

Isua is located 150 km northeast of Nuuk and is wholly owned by London Mining Plc.
