Liu Steel to achieve high gas desulfurization rate

Liuzhou-based Chinese steelmaker Liu Steel has almost completed work on its gas desulfurization project, and expects to carrying out commissioning next month, according to local media reports.

Upon commissioning, the desulfurization rate of flue gases by Liu Steel is expected to reach over 95 percent, with Liu Steel becoming the first steelmaker in China to achieve such a high rate. The completion of the project will reduce air pollution levels in the city of Liuzhou.
