Liberty Steel to build service center in Mexico

North Jackson, Ohio, US-based steel service center Liberty Steel Products Inc. has signed a contract with Mexican outsourced manufacturing support services provider The Offshore Group for construction of a 40,000 square foot industrial building that will be located in the city of Saltillo in the Alianza industrial park and that, at its maturity, will employ 40 laborers.

Liberty Steel's general manager of operations, Joe Dubaj, said, "As a commitment to our loyal customers we are adding an additional operation in Mexico to support their production efforts. Our new facility will be initially dedicated to stamping and assembly. We will have press capacity up through 2,000 mt and be capable to run both progressive and transfer operations."
