Kazakhstan’s crude steel output down 18.2 percent in Jan-Sept

According to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, in the January-September period of the current year Kazakhstan produced 3.038 million mt of crude steel, down 18.2 percent year on year.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-September period of this year decreased by 13.6 percent year on year to 1.995 million mt.

In the first nine months of 2012, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production rise by 1.2 percent year on year to 1.279 million mt.
