Kazakhstan sees reduced crude steel production in first two months

According to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, in the January-February period of the current year Kazakhstan produced 604,662 mt of crude steel, down 23.7 percent year on year.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the first two months this year increased by 10 percent to 562,574 mt, while production of galvanized rolled steel in this period rose by 20.2 percent to 122,704 mt, both year on year.

In the first two months of 2012, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production rise by 1.1 percent year on year to 276,784 mt.
