Gansu Province-based Chinese steel producer Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (Jiuquan Steel) has announced that in the January-October period this year it produced 110,000 mt of 82B wire rod. Meanwhile, the tensile strength of the steelmaker's 82B wire rod has been raised by 20-30 MPa, surface quality has been improved, and 99.95 percent of output is in line with required standards.
Jiuquan Steel expects the improvement in the quality of its 82B wire rod to contribute to increasing its profit margin and consolidating its market share for the product.
