Gansu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Yuzhong Iron and Steel, a subsidiary of Jiuquan Steel Group, has announced that it has successfully commissioned a new long steel mill in Yushu, Gansu, within the scope of a reconstruction project following the earthquake which hit Yushu in April 2010.
The new production facilities have a designed annual output capacity of 1.1 million mt of steel bar and 1.6 million mt of high-speed wire rod.
