Jinan Steel ups ex-factory prices for flats

On September 26, Shandong Province-based Jinan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (Jinan Steel) adjusted ex-factory prices for its flats. The details are as follows:

The ex-factory price of CR has increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 4,940/mt ($659/mt).

The ex-factory price of HR has risen RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HR is RMB 4,250/mt ($567/mt).

The ex-factory price of medium plate of 6-39 mm thickness has gone up RMB 100/mt ($13/mt), while thicknesses >40 mm have increased RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 16-20 mm thick Q235 medium plate is RMB 4,690/mt ($625/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of September 26, 2007.
