Japanese auto output down 1.7 percent in July

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in July this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 894,742 units, decreasing by 15,504 units or 1.7 percent compared to the same month of 2013, following 11 consecutive months of year-on-year increases.
 
Domestic automobile sales in July of the current year in Japan stood at 460,260 vehicles, down 2.5 percent as compared with the same month of 2013. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in July amounted to 414,273 units, up by 375 units or 0.1 percent year on year.
