Itera enters coking coal business

The Russian gas producing and supplying company Itera has won an auction for the development of the Apsatskoe coking coal and methane deposit, located in Russia's Chita region.

Itera paid Ruble 1.325 billion ($56.7 million) for a license for the development of the Apsatskoe deposit which, according to different estimates, holds about 2.2 billion metric tons of coking coal and 150 billion m3 in reserves.
