Italy’s steel exports approach 10 million mt in H1

According to the statistics released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in the January-June period this year Italy's steel imports amounted to 7.415 million metric tons, decreasing by 27.4 percent, while its steel exports totaled 9.915 million metric tons, up 10.3 percent, both compared to the same period of the previous year.

Italy's external steel trade balance is increasingly positive, reaching a surplus of 2.5 million mt for the given period.
