According to the statistics released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in the first three months of the current year Italy's steel imports from non-EU countries reached 1.339 million metric tons, decreasing by 49 percent, while its steel exports to non-EU destinations totaled 1.448 million metric tons, up 24.5 percent, both compared to the same period of the previous year.
