Italy's new car registrations close 2019 on a positive note

The Italian car market has posted positive figures for December last year, with 140,130 new car registrations, up 12.5 percent year on year, increasing on year-on-year basis for the fourth consecutive month.

Thanks to the December data, total new car registrations in the Italian market in the full year of 2019 amounted to 1,916,554, up 0.29 percent from 2018, while new car registrations in the January-November period had indicated a slight decrease on year-on-year basis. All data are from the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and have been published by the National Association of the Automotive Industry (ANFIA).
