Italy’s Marcegaglia starts solar panel production

Italian steel group Marcegaglia has recently launched a new solar panel production line at its plant based in Taranto, in the south of Italy. The company has invested €15 million in this project.
 
"The production of solar panels means a great evolution for our company. We will not need to buy these products from our US partner Uni-Solar anymore", said the group's CEO Antonio Marcegaglia.
