France-based machine industry company Fives Group has announced that it has installed a digital automation solution at the four galvanizing lines at the Ravenna plant of Italian steelmaker Marcegaglia amid increased demand for high value-added steel grades.

The system called SmartLine has improved Marcegaglia’s HDG productivity by five percent and reduced production costs, in particular gas consumption by 10 percent.
