Russian steelmaking and mining company Evraz Group (Evraz) has announced recent management changes at its Italian plate rolling facility Evraz Palini e Bertoli (EPB).

Accordingly, the most recent development of Evraz strategy in favor of cost-efficient manufacturing and centralization of some key company functions narrowed the role of CEO, which as a result will no longer be required. Instead the position of general manager of Evraz Palini e Bertoli has been created.

Subsequently Nicola Lemetti, Evraz Palini e Bertoli CEO, has stepped down from his role, with Roberto Bissacco, mill operations director of EPB, being promoted to become general manager effective as fo February 1, 2011. In his new role, Mr. Bissacco will retain the position of mill operations director.
