Italian long steel output down 5.7 percent in April

Italy's long steel output amounted to 965,000 metric tons in April this year, down 5.7 percent year on year, according to the Italian steel producers association Federacciai. Accordingly, the year-on-year decline in domestic long steel output slowed compared to the 16.4 percent fall observed in March this year.

In the first four months this year, Italian long steel output fell 9.1 percent year on year to 3.836 million metric tons, compared to the 10.2 percent year-on-year decrease rate seen in the first quarter this year.
