Ispat Annaba not to try light gauge rolling

Even though earlier reports stated that Ispat Annaba works in Algeria has started trials of rolling 1.5 mm thick hot rolled coil, SteelOrbis understands the Algerian mill is now producing hot rolled coils without any problems only down to 3 mm thickness. The mill is still trying to solve their technical problems and improve for rolling material down to 2 mm thickness. Material with lighter gauges will not be attempted till the end of the year, Steelorbis is reported.
