According to the statement released by International Steel Group (ISG), company's Riverdale facility started operations on July 2, 2004 as scheduled. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, ISG had to stop production at its subsidiary Riverdale facility Inc due to failure at its Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF). The repairs at the mill were expected to last fourteen days. ISG announced that the closure would not affect its financial results regarding second quarter. As scheduled, Riverdale facility returned to normal operations. During the closure, ISG allocated the orders to its other division to minimize the delays in deliveries.
