Iron ore imports at Lianyungang port surge in Jan-Apr

According to the new data issued by the Lianyungang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the January-April period of the current year iron ore imports at Lianyungang port in China's Jiangsu Province totaled 13.62 million mt, up 23.07 percent year on year.

During the period in question, the iron content of 31.34 percent or 4.27 million mt of the imported iron ore in question was below the specified level, compared to 44.42 percent in the first four months last year.
