India’s vehicle retail sales across all categories rise 2% in Nov 2025

India’s vehicle sales as denoted by new registrations of all categories have been provisionally estimated at 3.3 million units in November 2025, a rise of 2.14 percent year on year, according to data released by the Federation Indian Automobile Dealers (FADA) on Wednesday, December 10.

However, passenger car sales showed a robust growth of 20 percent in November 2025 to 394,152 units, FADA data showed.

Dealers also reported a decline in average inventories of passenger cars to 44-46 days, down from 53-55 days earlier, FADA said.

However, two-wheeler sales were down three percent in November, while vehicles used in the construction sector fell 17 percent.

However, three-wheeler retail sales were up 24 percent and tractor sales rose 57 percent, year on year.
