Indian Steel Ministry to re-operate 180 closed units

Indian Steel Ministry has recently announced that it is planning to re-operate 180 closed steel units throughout the country. The steel units closed were mostly producing steel products used in construction sector. The Ministry is stated to be examining certain units, including Andhra Steel, Canara Steel, Ellora Steel and Kanoria Steel. These mills were closed in the 1990s due to raw material shortage. The action of the Steel Ministry is based on the revival of the steel industry.
