The Indian government has extended its export incentive scheme, the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP), until June 2024, a government statement said on Wednesday, September 27.

Under the RoDTEP, which was slated to expire on September 30, 2023, exporters are reimbursed various taxes and levies that go into manufacture and distribution of products meant for sales overseas.

“The RoDTEP support which was notified until September 30, 2023, is now being extended until June 30, 2024, at the same rates to the existing export items, and will enable the export community to negotiate export contracts in the present international environment on better terms,” the statement said.
