IMIDRO to establish new steel plants in Iran

According to the statement released by Iran Mining and Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), a number of steel plants in the country will be established to encourage foreign investments in the steel sector. An official stated that the project of establishing a steel plant with an annual production capacity of 4 million tons in Bandar Abbas Special Economic Zone is currently discussed among the officials in IMIDRO. Officials also expressed that they have plans to expand ore and natural gas production in order to increase exports.
