HRC output of OMK’s foundry-rolling complex remains unchanged in October

Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has stated that in October of the current year its foundry-rolling complex produced 98,000 mt of hot rolled coil (HRC), unchanged from the corresponding month of 2011. Also in the given month, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK produced more than 20,000 mt of steel sheets and 27,000 mt of steel strips. In October this year, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK shipped a total of 86,000 mt of steel products.

In the January-October period of the current year, the OMK complex produced 944,000 mt of hot rolled coils, up eight percent compared to the same period last year, while it also produced 187,000 mt of steel sheets and 175,000 mt of steel strips. In the given period, the complex shipped 943,000 mt of hot rolled coil, sheet and strip, up 10 percent year on year.
