Hebei’s finished steel export volume up 17 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, finished steel exports from China’s Hebei Province amounted to 10.736 million mt, up 17 percent year on year, according to the customs authorities in Hebei. In particular, Hebei Province’s finished steel exports to One Belt, One Road area countries totaled to 7.646 million mt, rising by 35.2 percent year on year.

In the January-May period this year, Hebei Province’s overall finished steel export value amounted to RMB 22.42 billion ($3.41 billion), down 15.1 percent year on year.
