China’s finished steel exports down 30.5 percent in 2017

In December last year, China exported 5.67 million mt of finished steel, up 6.0 percent month on month and decreasing by 27.3 percent year on year, while the finished steel export volume in the full year of 2017 totaled 75.43 million mt, down 30.5 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In December last year, China exported 1.04 million mt of metallurgical coke, rising by 7.2 percent month on month and 15.6 percent year on year. In the full year of 2017, China’s coke exports totaled 8.09 million mt, decreasing by 20.0 percent year on year.
