Haranga Resources to secure 5 million mt export rail capacity for Selenge project

Haranga Resources, an Australian company focused on developing high quality iron ore projects in Mongolia, has announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with both the Mongolian Railway Authority and the Mongolian Government Ministry for Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development to enable the allocation of up to 5 million mt per year of export rail capacity for iron ore produced from its Selenge project in Mongolia.
 
Once mining has commenced at the Selenge project, Mongolian Railways and the ministry will support the allocation of up to 1 million mt per year of export rail capacity for iron ore from Selenge to the company and 5 million mt per year from 2015 onwards.
