H2 Green Steel to supply green steel to Mercedes

Sweden-based H2 Green Steel has announced that it has signed an agreement with German automotive producer Mercedes-Benz for the supply of about 50,000 mt of green steel to be used in the latter’s automobile production in Europe.

The green steel will be produced in H2 Green Steel’s green hydrogen-powered steel plant in Boden in northern Sweden.

The companies have also signed a memorandum of understanding for the potential supply of green steel produced in North America for Mercedes-Benz’s manufacturing plants in North and South America.
