Guryevsk Metallurgical Works’ crude steel output rises by 47.4 percent in Jan-Oct

Guryevsk Metallurgical Works (GMZ), a subsidiary of Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR), in January-October this year saw its crude steel output increase by 47.4 percent compared to the same period last year, producing 165,700 mt.

Meanwhile, during the period in question, GMZ increased its long steel products output by 192 percent to 196,800 mt compared to 67,500 mt in the same period last year, and upped its steel grinding balls production by 98.7 percent  to 79,500 mt compared to 40,000 mt produced in the corresponding period of last year.

GMZ's steel products shipments during the first 10 months of this year increased by 156 percent year on year to 279,000 mt.

In October, GMZ produced 19,500 mt of crude steel, about 22,000 mt of long steel products, and 8,000 mt of steel grinding balls.
