Guangxi Nonferrous Metal Group starts work on steel project in Cambodia

Chinese nonferrous metal producer Guangxi Nonferrous Metal Group has announced that it has launched construction on the first phase of its steel production project in the province of Preah Vihear in Cambodia.
 
The first phase includes an iron ore mine with an annual production capacity of 1 million mt, a 600,000 mt dressing plant and a direct reduced iron (DRI) mill with an annual capacity of 300,000 mt, with a total investment of $100 million. Construction work on the first phase of the project is expected to last one year.
