Greece’s PPI up in March

Based on the statement made by Greek government, the country's producer price index (PPI) rose from 4.1% in February to 4.7% in March due to the increase in energy prices. In April 2004-March 2005 period, the PPI rose from 1.3% from a year earlier to 4.5%. According to the preliminary data, consumer price index (CPI) is expected to show an increase of above 3%. The increase in VAT and fuel prices affected CPI's rise.
