Government rules Brazil’s industry unharmed by flat rolled steel imports

On Friday, the Brazilian government officially completed its investigation into the dumping of flat rolled steel products by Australia, South Korea, China, India and Mexico. The Commercial Defense Department, or Decom, began the investigation in December 2010 but decided that although there was evidence of dumping from Australia, China, India and Mexico, Brazil's domestic industry was not injured.

Brazilian flat rolled steelmaker CSN filed the complaint in October 2010 along with Usiminas and a Brazilian unit of ArcelorMittal.
