US-based automaker General Motors announced this week that it will invest $350 million at its Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, plant in Mexico.

The investment will be used to produce the Chevrolet Cruze. It’s the first time the model will be made in Mexico.

The $350 million is part of a $5 billion investment the company announced in December last year. Earlier this month, GM announced it would invest $85 million to expand its stamping plant in the city of San Luis Potosi.
