Germany’s industrial output down 1.7 percent in October from September

In October this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production fell by 1.7 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for September declined by 0.6 percent compared to August, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

As compared to September, in October this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 1.7 percent and the production of capital goods was down by 4.4 percent, while the output of consumer goods rose by 0.3 percent and the production of intermediate goods was up by one percent. Meanwhile, energy production increased by 2.3 percent and construction output decreased by 2.8 percent, all month on month.
