German wholesale metal prices continue to fall in August

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in August this year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 3.1 percent higher compared to August 2011, after a revised year-on-year increase of two percent recorded in July. The wholesale price index rose by 1.1 percent in August this year, compared with the previous month.

In August, the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany were down 5.3 percent as compared to August last year and down by 0.4 percent from July this year.
