According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in February this year the import price of iron ore decreased by 15.7 percent year on year in Germany. February was the fourth consecutive month in which a month-on-month increase was seen in iron ore import prices, with a rise of 0.8 percent compared to January.
In February, the import price of iron and steel and ferroalloys in Germany fell by 5.3 percent year on year and was down by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in February the import price of nickel fell by 14 percent compared to the same month last year but was up by 1.4 percent month on month.
