German wholesale metal prices down 3.9 percent in September

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in September this year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 4.2 percent higher compared to September 2011, after a revised year-on-year increase of 3.1 percent recorded in August. In September, the year-on-year increase in the wholesale selling prices of industrial products was the largest recorded since November 2011 (4.9 percent). The wholesale price index rose by 1.3 percent in September, compared with the previous month.

In the month in question, the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany were down 3.9 percent as compared to September last year and were stable compared to August this year.
